What setting were you in to see your milage up and down like that to see if u gained mpg or lost

i see it as more of a competitor to something like a Corolla XLE and/or Kia Forte GT-_line_ rather than a Civic Si or Jetta GLI. a more premium feeling car rather than an entry level sports sedan. as long as their cvts dont grenade i feel like they can definitely make some good value plays soon

Nissan cvt sucks

I have a 2009 Nissan Sentra with 165k miles and honestly it’s been great for me, it does randomly slip when it snows but otherwise works well. I got lucky. I still wouldn’t buy a new one. Civic, Corolla, Mazda 3 are all better.

I cannot stress enough how awful that tach is. Compressing the most useful range just to make the redzone larger. Why even bother with it if you're gonna get a cvt only and fake ass shifts? (This is a dig at nissan)

The CVT in the intro clip sounds like 🐶 💩. I know most people buying this won’t care but it sounds bad lol

I had a 1997 W202 C36 AMG years ago back in the 2000's and it was very similar to this W124 E class in many ways (although slightly more compact and a bit faster with a 277 bhp 3.6 AMG hand built 24 valve straight 6)... Mine being a late 1990's car it had the 5 speed automatic transmission with a very mean 0-60 mph !! (I think it was 5.9 seconds but it sure felt faster ! lol) - I now have a 2010 W212 E63 AMG with the mighty 6.2 M156 AMG v8 in it and I love it ! - Mercedes are truly great cars !

$28,000 for not even a fully loaded Sentra? We paid $28,000 for our 2023 Camry SE with leather and sunroof. Value-vise, something is wrong here. This car shouldn't be more than $25K.

Really wish that Nissan would bring the six-speed to the USA. They sell them in Canada! Also, I wish Nissan would offer the SR trim with the premium quilted tan leather interior package. (Only available on the SV.) That's a shame because that quilted tan leather interior is SO nice!

The SV with the premium package/tan leather interior is actually surprisingly nice. It'd probably be my choice over the SR if I had to get a Sentra for some reason.

They need a sentra to compete with the si again. Updated ser an spec v version please... id definitely buy

I’m assuming there’s a lot of people here that haven’t driven on. We have a couple of these as company cars. I can understand what there is to hate about having a CVT but besides that, these cars are lovely to drive, comfortable, and great on gas. Honestly a perfect daily driver

To be competitive, Nissan has to sell these at 22K, otherwise ppl will get smth more reliable.

I'll stick with my Honda Civic Touring The interior on this just screams cheap to me. The info system looks worse then my old 2019 Accord.

Nissan Tech here. These things are absolute garbage. Everything on them is cheap cheap cheap. inner tie rods, wheel bearings, axles, brake rotor, switches, computer modules, I've seen more failures in these cars than any other vehicle I work on. Usually finished off by an early CVT failure.

What? Is this really something that *isn't* actively being taught in America, when getting your driver's license? Because in Denmark it's mandatory to get time on the highway, and learn all of this. Like don't get me wrong, seems to be a good video. But just wtf, why does it need to be a video? There shouldn't be a need for this to exist.

My brother bought this same car two weeks ago. He cares and knows nothing about cars. He just wanted a car to drive to work which is about 10 miles away if that. He was in an 08 Focus so big upgrade for him. Of course a used car was an option. But he just wanted something to keep and drive for the next decade probably without having to do anything. So its good for him.

The shifter looks really out of place in that interior. With how the rest of the interior looks 10 years newer than it actually is, you'd expect to find one of those gimmicky rotary or push-button shifters!

Remember the 90’s Nissan maxima 4 DSC? I had a ‘98 Nissan maxima SE with a stick and it was a blast. C’mon Nissan you can do it: Maxima (or Sentra), V6 or a spirited 4, 6 speed, sports package and nothing else. What’s nothing else? Sun roof, drivers safety suite nannys, crazy screens, ie a pure drivers car. Priced just under $30k. I’m in.

4:58 on the center screen. I really hope this becomes more known as a problem with "ownership" these days. "Vehicle Data Transmission" should be either Opt-In by default or should simply not exist.

Nissan is missing out by not having an SE-R with a manual. It's not that hard to compete with the 11th Gen SI. Just give it a good LSD, higher spring rate, a satisfying shifter and a turbo.

If i owned this car i would remove all S and V10 badges,and i would just put one TDI badge in the back.

with using this car as a daily, you learn how to keep the rpm stable using that cvt so its not droning away.

That tachometer is infuriating

I was a driver for Enterprise Rent-a-Car for 3 years. I drove hundreds of these Altimas (not AWDs) since Nissan is queen of the rental lots. I can honestly say that 80% of these Altimas that I drove had two major issues: 1. the foam trim between the bottom of the windshield and the dash was always hanging out and lying on the dashboard. How that happened, I'm not sure. 2. the volume on the infotainment screen was irratic and never worked properly. You had to use the volume control on the steering wheel only. Hopefully, with these newer Altimas, I looks like they've changed their supplier for the infotainment unit. I can only guess at the foam trim around the windshield.

My Dad had a 2016 Nissan Altima and I loved a CVT for day to day driving ,It kept the rpms under 2k most of the city drive and some highway

Base Sentra S in Canada is available with manual transmission. Would help sell the Sentra in US to enthusiasts. Particularly since Honda dropped the NA engine/6speed combination Beautiful roads btw!

I love the look of this beautiful car. Great job Hyundai/Kia/Genesis for continually producing amazing electric powertrains and putting them in great cars!
